Social & Networking Activities
Beyond the technical sessions, LATAM-SHM 2026 will feature several activities to encourage interaction and cultural exchange among participants:
Welcome Reception
A relaxed evening gathering at the start of the conference to meet fellow participants, keynote speakers, and members of the organizing committee. Light refreshments will be served in a friendly atmosphere.
Lunches at Club Hípico de Santiago
Lunches will be hosted at the Club House of the Club Hípico de Santiago, Chile’s most traditional horse-racing venue (founded in 1869). This historic setting offers a unique backdrop for informal networking.
Winery Visit
Delegates will enjoy a guided visit and tasting at one of Santiago’s renowned wineries. This excursion will showcase Chile’s wine culture and heritage.

Conference Dinner at Corsa Ristorante
The Conference Dinner will be held at Corsa Ristorante, located inside the historic Club Hípico de Santiago. This exclusive evening will feature a refined selection of Chilean cuisine, showcasing traditional flavors with a contemporary touch, paired with fine Chilean wines. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception followed by a three-course dinner, while taking in panoramic views of the racetrack and the Andes Mountains.
The evening will also include:
- The LATAM Early Career Award Ceremony, honoring an outstanding young researcher who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of Structural Health Monitoring.
- A live performance of traditional Chilean music and dance, offering a cultural immersion in the country’s heritage.
